Make your own natural sun-dried tomatoes at home with no preservatives or additives! They are SO simple to make!

The recipe:

This recipe is very flexible – you can use as many tomatoes as you’d like. This recipe takes a long time to complete since the tomato dehydration is done on a very low temperature.

Notes:

Makes 30 servings.

If you want to, you can use a dehydrator to make these. You can also use a plain old oven. The Excalibur 3900 was used here. It can fit 15 tomatoes on each tray. However, this model is quite expensive, so if you’re serious about making dehydrated foods, I recommend the Nesco Snackmaster Pro Food Dehydrator, which is better priced and is the #1 bestselling food dehydrator on amazon (at the time of writing this post).

These hot chocolate cookies aren’t the normal type of cookie you’d expect – they taste like hot chocolate and they melt in your mouth!

The recipe:

In this recipe, dates are used to sweeten the cookies and hold them together. These cookies have a chocolate taste that will leave you for more!

Note:

Makes 8 servings.

Your dough might be drier if you use harder, drier dates. The original recipe recommends using Sunmaid dates because they’re softer and less dry. If you use other dates, it’s okay to add a bit more oil to the mixture to compensate for the dryness.
